Binghamton University 2008 Energy Contest
The Energy Contest is now over.
The Dickinson Community won the Energy Contest!
This
is how the contest works:
Dates: February 4, 2008 through March 16, 2008 (6 weeks)
Participants:
Residential Communities – Newing, Dickinson, College-in-the-Woods, Hinman,
Mountainview, Susquehanna, and Hillside. (Dining halls and collegiate centers
will be excluded from the contest.)
What
Will Be Measured: Electricity consumption
reduction compared to the same time frame in 2007(baseline). Overall
percentage reduction will be used to determine the winner. Physical
Facilities Department will administer the data collection and dissemination.
How
to Win: The community that reduces
electric usage the most at the end of the contest will be the grand prize
winner!
Grand
Prize: To be proposed by the winner. Prize value can be up to $20,000.
Other
Information: Progress reports will be
posted on this website on a weekly basis. The Student Association will sponsor a
promotional event mid-way through the contest. Details will be announced
here, Dateline and B-Line.
